There its a lot of stuff I would like to get rid of but not sure if some are settings that are required for ICS.

Which of these are active taking up cpu time or staying resident in system ram? Re you just deleting from apps? That sure dont work on the important ones like vcast tones , verizon video and vz navigator. I believe all of these can accidently cost you extra fees?

You can disable the apps.

How does one disable apps? I thought you'd do it through the manage apps section, but the option only seems to be available on a few apps... AM I missing something?

On some apps, first delete the updates. When the updates are gone Disable should appear.
