Your a prisoner to the deal that you want. Gotta figure whats your time worth? If you can save $300-$400 vs. Anywhere else, is that worth standing in lune for 6-7 hours. How many out there make $50+/hour at there job.

I am surprised attorneys haven't jumped on Walmart over these Black Friday incidents, especially since this last incident was in California, the "Sue Me" State . One could make a case that Walmart created (and continues to create) a dangerous situation for shoppers (and children of angry mommies), and their own employees, every year, resulting in hurt citizens as a result of events, including, but not limited to, stampedes, gunshots, and chemical warfare (e.g. pepper-spray). Lol.

No there not better behaved. Up until this year those other places had people outside. That attracts less people to spend the night, and leaves more room for them. And Wal Mart will always make the national news, just like Tiger Woods, Americans love to see the best fall.

I wouldn't classify Wal-Mart as being among "the best." Wal-mart never used to be this way. To this day I refuse to set foot in Wal-mart. Lousy service, even the employees don't speak English (or at least adequate English. If it seems like you're trying, than I am patient and you have my ear and I will bend over backwards to try to help out. But if you give me the cop out 'I don't speak English' and/or have your kids do the translating for you, then I will not waist any of my time with you. If you live here, speak the language - OR TRY! ) to name a couple of many, many reasons.

When Sam was alive, he didn't put up with that. And now, everything they carry is made in China or some other country. They, to me, are also promoting bad economic behaviors. When Sam was alive, sure there were some things made in Japan or China or other countries. But, the vast majority of the stuff was made here. Or he tried to find it. And the customer service was a hell of a lot better than now.

His son is worthless. He destroyed his father's branding. And I can get more help and a better conversation talking to my sweaty boot than I can from ANY of their employees now, it seems. And they continuously get away with code violations, zoning violations, etc. They have a tendency of going through the motions and when the goters vote down their proposal to build a store, they do it anyway. They also have a tendency of ruining neighborhoods as soon as the Wal-mart goes in. Not to mention them ruining companies that have been around for years. Because people are more concerned about cheap and short term rather than longevity and tradition. Now the tradition is to see how many you can f*k over and ruin/kill so you can be on top/have the best deal on something that doesn't really matter or worth someone else's livelihood or life over.

I don't go to Walmart often, but the employees there (many look like retirees) speak English. Might have to do with the neighborhood the Walmart is in.
I have a harder time trying to get help from Home Depot employees.
One of them was fluent in English, but quite condescending to people who didn't understand plumbing as well as he did.

If your within about 1,000 miles of the Mexican boarder, you will have a hard time finding any business that doesn't have a large number of workers who don't speak english. Once you leave that corner of the country, it is few and far between. For the most part only in huge cities do you have that problem, once out of the south west. That is not a Wal Mart problem, it is a society problem. Was just at McDonalds in Arizona yesterday. It was pay day, couple of them got checks, couple of them were paid in cash from the register. While the manager spoke to them in Spanish. Wounder why?

And it's sad. To think that I helped defend this country for this horse piss (cleaning it up for the forum) makes me nauseous.

I grew up in AZ. So, I know exactly what you're talking about.

And it's starting to spead across the rest of the country, too. Before you know it, most of the workers won't speak English. And they'll get paid under the table.

I shouldn't have to press "1" for English! And I shouldn't have to listen to some LOOOOONG recording and then turn around and have it repeated in Spanish before I can make a selection! It pisses me off!

Another thing that pisses me off is I know most of them do speak English. It's a front and a cop out. If someone needs help and isn't at least TRYING to speak English (off duty), I won't waste my time or give them the time of day. But if they are at least trying, I will bend over backwards to try and help.

My tax money is going to support millions of illegals. No wonder why my Country is broke!

A parametic I used to run with was Hispanic. And if he was in the back or the "bus" and they immediately spoke Spanish to him and he suspected they spoke English also, he wouldn't speak a lick of Spanish to them except, "No abla Espanol" (sp?) - provided it wasn't a serious life threatening situation). And then after dropping off the patient and hanging out in the EMS Lounge for a couple minutes while we ate/drank something while he finished his report, he'd say, "Oh, by the way, that patient called you an @$$ hole." And I'd usually say something to the effect of, "Well, I am the 'El Gringo Loco...'"

Lmao!! I used to LOOOOOOVE running calls with this guy!!

I love immigrants and that is what or country is made of, but I can't stand illegal immigration (my grandparents on both side came through Ellis Island)... Why should someone illegally come to my country then get more benefits than I do as a hard working citizen who has lived here my whole life? They can get free healthcare, welfare etc...
Remember the old days of immigration? Those we're the people that risked everything so they could come to this nation (legally) and become an *American*, most illegals have no intention of being Americans and want to make my state a part of Mexico! I'm not trying to offend anybody and I know there are hard working illegals, but it still is the law...

I couldn't agree with you more. All of our families are techically "immigrants." But we all came together as one.

My family came from Scotland. And I admire and respect my Great Grandfather and his immediate family for their hard work at becoming citizens and contributing.

And I have a lot of respect for others who do too. I guess that's where I was going with my rant.

And the paramedic I ran with was like thst too. His parents came here from Mexico. Learned English, and told him and the rest of his siblings that they are Americans now. They will always have their heritage. Be proud of it. But eqyally be proud that you are Americans. We came here for a better life and to give you the same. When we are out in public, we speak English. But at home, we can speak Spanish.

See, that to me, is awsome. One of very few who work and contribute like the rest of us. Instead of trying to ride the gravy train befause they feel they are entitled.

Even the youth these days. even the Crackers seem to have that "Entitlement" mentality. And to me, they are just as bad as the illegals who come here with no intent on being citizens or contributing.they won't be contributing, either. Thus, voting for that "free" "healthcare" crap.

I was taught the old school/correct way. You work for what you want/get. It will not be given to you just because you are you. You want it, go out and earn it.

It also falls into the "Respect" category. In order to GET respect, you have to first GIVE it. Then earn it. It jist be given to you just because someone feels like it.
