Anyone else experience this? Part of the silver strip that's part of the same strip the volume rocker is on, just above it. I know what caused it, taking the case on and off. You need to pry the case off there, thus loosening the strip.. Just gonna glue it back on.

Bionic silver side strip came off

Ok so now the whole volume rocker came off. Gone.
So I call Verizon who tells me it may not be covered by warranty as it's cosmetic, even though it was caused by removing the case motorola makes.
So I have 3 Options:
1) Send it in for a warranty replacement where it wil be thouroughly inspected to determine if its a manufacturers default, which I believe it is. BUT, if I send it in, and they determine it is due to something else, they will charge me $299 for a new phone, not replace my old phone and I have no choice to say no.
2) Use insurance, which would cost me $100 for a refurbed.
3) Use upgrade on other line for the free deal and extend my contract. So this is what I did. I'm happy with my Bionic, I've invested a lot into it and if something so major comes out in the next 3 years or whatever it is now, I'll pay full price. But with the lap dock, it just seemed worthy for me to go with this then shell out another $299 or whatever for a newer phone plus more accessories etc etc. Plus I have a pretty good feeling The Bionic hasn't seen its heyday yet
