Bionic just stops; have to do battery pull to get it going again

I bought a Bionic the day they came out because I was so unhappy with my Blackberry. After about a week I experienced twice within 24 hours that my Bionic went "dead" and only way to get it to re-start was to do a battery pull. Went into Verizon store to complain and they said nobody else was having that problem but they'd do a hard reset, thus eliminating all new apps (under the theory that I had an app that wasn't compatible with "honeycomb"). They told me if it happened again to bring it back and they'd give me a new Bionic. Sure enough, it happened again so they gave me new phone. Now, just three days later, I'm having same problem and, of course, by now the 15 day return policy has passed. Is Motorola or anybody else working on this issue? I got rid of Blackberry because I constantly had to do a Battery pull and I'm really frustrated that I'm having the same issue.

I'm not using any taskkillers and I have only downloaded apps that came with the phone other than under "social media" I did download my twitter and facebook accounts
