Binary Update Error

Hi All,
A friend of mine is having the following issue...When updating Binary, he receives a message saying “installing please wait….if you see this message for more than five minutes, please reboot and try again”. Twice, he has waited 10 mins and rebooted. Anyone with a similar problem/fix? Thanks in advance. Galaxy S5 for Verizon.

There's usually an option for either normal or recovery. Have they tried both? Sounds like an error for using normal
