We've been getting mixed reports from earlier this week that the HTC Thunderbolt 4G has two different price tags at Best Buy, $249 and $299. Well the BestBuy.com website has now officially listed the price tag of the 4G LTE Verizon handset and unfortunately, its the latter.

BestBuy website lists HTC Thunderbolt 4G price tag at $299.99

The BestBuy.com website has listed the HTC Thunderbolt as a national retail exclusive with a price tag of $299.99 with a two-year contract. The webpage can be accessed by clicking their "Weekly Ad" link from the top right corner of their homepage. The 'More Details' page also gives a rundown of the Thunderbolt 4G's specs and a $749.99 unlocked price.

While Best Buy has been known to carry Android phones in some exclusive colors, the HTC Thunderbolt 4G is listed as available in only Dark Charcoal. Having an exclusive on the Android phone already, we can see why Best Buy needs no reason for exclusive colors.

There is no release date listed on the Best Buy website at this time.

$299 is a complete rip, especially if you aren't in an LTE area. MAYBE the LTE radio is worth $50, but it's a marginal upgrade like pretty much all new phones have been the last year or so and they've all held the $199 price point.

San Disk 32 GB card is $52... :D

Everyone on mobile chat for BB says $249.99. Though I'm not saying they are a very reliable source, it still should say something that every one of them says 250.

Wasn't it best buy who listed the Xoom at $1200, but that just turned out to be a "worst case scenario" place-holder price?

299 seems pretty high to me since I think that would even be too much for the bionic when it comes out...
