Best Way to Use Droid In Europe? - need a reliable, dedicated phone

Hello,

I will be traveling to western europe for two months and I need to have a dedicated and reliable line to place / receive calls on for my business. I will have access to wifi, and was curious as to what the best solution would be.

The easiest solution that I could come up with is as follows, but it seems that new apps come out all the time, and skype constantly making strides in its support for android, so I am have outdated, or overcomplicated information:

Buy a permanent number from skype. Install skype app on my droid. Turn on wifi. Install fring to place and receive calls.

Does this sound like it will work? Will it be reliable, Is there an easier or better way? I can accept rooted solutions as well. Thanks!!

rent a gsm phone for voice calls - use the droid for everything else. Personally, I would not jeopardize a business (or a job) for the cost of a phone rental.

check out mobal - I have heard then are decent.
