Best phone customizable apps?

I am looking for apps that work to enhance the phones features.

For example, handcent works a ton to enhance text messaging with the phone.

home replacements are great for changing your droid.

gde and open home are pay apps.

pandahome and home++ are free.

Which do you recommend? home++ is pretty cool.

Home++ would be my recommendation. Love the option to hide the notification bar, and the buttons dock on the bottom of the screen (side in landscape)

Very little if any lag... and developer is accessible.

PandaHome ran very smooth for me too but didn't provide the same customizable options I liked in Home++
