best messaging app

Google Talk ! or for text, Handcent.

I am using Meebo, I have Talk, but don't have anyone using that. I use Meebo to connect to the other services (Windows Live, Yahoo, and others).

Talk is a dedicated messaging APP that is kind of like the BB messaging APP isn't it?

I text multiple contacts at a time and there is no other text message app other than CHOMP SMS that will allow you to go through a list and check all the people that you want to send that text to , rather , than manually entering each individual contacts.

Handcent will allow you to go into your contacts and select who you want to check. All you need to do is compose a message, click on the + key then check which contact you want to send to. You can filter out just mobile numbers if you like too. Handcent will also convert a SMS to MMS if you go over the 160 character limit, plus you get some nice options on how you want to view your msgs too.

Chomp for me. I used handcent for a while but ran into issues with some types of mms message (receiving that is). Did not open them correctly. Back to Chomp and very happy with it.
