Best looking home replacement?

SweeterHome looks the best!

This looks very nice.

Love the sweeter home images above. Good work man.

Hahah I laughed so hard tho when I read this thread, the OP basically is saying they want a REALLY COOL LOOKING phone but don't care if its laggy, hah. I can deal with less cool graphics as long as it flys... which it does..

I use Helix because it's the most stable and practical. I've tried other home replacement apps that arguably look better, but they either lag or simply offer functionality that's just cool but not very practical.

i use launcher and i really like it its the one from ultimate droid with the big bottom tray that says droid on it that changes colors

i would be using Sweeterhome as my main home replacement if it worked a little better, but currently it is still in beta. Its a great app but needs more work before i can say its my favourite home replacement. I really like home++ besides that but since i flashed the HTC Sense UI Rom on my droid, i've been very happy with the standard homescreen

if you are talking strictly about LOOKS then I have to say it's SweeterHome because it's unlimited in how it can look. You can build the UI to be exactly what you want. Once they get the bugs worked out it's going to be incredible. If you want stable and good looking, OpenHome's not bad, Pandahome looks cool but it's pretty erratic on stability. Helix 2 is VERY unstable. I had lots of force closes with it. Home++ isn't bad either. I've been playing with SH the last couple of days too and I'm really liking it. If it didn't lag my phone and lock up so much I'd use it all the time.

im really surprised that more people arent using dxtop... if im missing something, i hope someone with more knowledge tells me, but imo dxtop seems to be very fast and stable... 5 icon launch bar, catagorize apps, free themes, choice of screen transitions... and more... ive been using it for about 3 months with no problems... i have tried almost all the others and dxtop seems to work the best for me, on unrooted moto droid....

I don't know why people are suggesting helix in this thread about looks, helix is plain.

To me the best looking is clearly GDE with one of the themes you can install. It has various cool screen transitions you can use and dozens of different themes. There's also SweeterHome which can be completely customized to look and feel however you want, but it has issues and requires a TON of work on your end.

anderweb beta launcher is incredible if u r rooted.. seems pretty stable, persistant dock, up to 7 screens, touch sense helicopter style screen previews, tons of customizable options, its worth it to backup and try and see if it works for u, it replaces the stock home launcher btw...
ADW things

how did u flash the htc sense ui just curios thats sweet didnt know u could do that

I've been using home++. Sure, live wallpapers is hit or miss and (I believe) you need to use an old, downgraded beta version to get it to work at all. And sure, I'm pretty positive Krazy's 24K is the only rom/theme/remix that has ever bothered to theme the thing. And sure, the app tray is probably the complete opposite of sexy. And sure, after seeing this thread I'm pretty tempted to try Sweeterhome again and really spend a weekend customizing it.

But!

I really like the swipe-able strip at the bottom. It's not completely customizable, but the dev has made a lot of pretty sensible short cuts- quick access to wifi settings or battery usage come to mind. And because they're shortcuts he himself has made, they all look cohesive and contiguous.
