Best Droid For Gaming?

I'm finally eligible for an upgrade, so now I'm weighing the pros and cons. A second or third opinion helps, too. I'm new to the smartphone scene, as I still have not had one. Did I crawl out from underneath a rock? It's more than possible. Before I start rambling on about nonsense, I'll put an end to it.

So, going back to the title, I'm trying to find out which Droid phone would be best for gaming. I'm going to get it paired with an Alienware laptop eventually simply because I think they look good together. lawl Whatever advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much in this area. But! Xperia play was a phone BUILT for gaming. Its actually pretty cool. On Verizon. My favorite part about it is that it is also stock android GINGERBREAD!

I've heard mixed things about the Xperia, so I'm not too sure. When I first learned about it, I was like, "**** yeah." Then I began to hear blasphemers criticizing the phone and how it actually isn't too reliable.
