Battery Question...

Is anyone else having issues with their battery?
Wi th my x1 I could watch a movie and charge and it would go from dead to full during playback...
Now it takes 3-4 hours and might be full?

Yeah it does seem to take quite a while to top off but I might have a bad battery. Instead of getting better it's getting worse. The second day I got 12 hours but now I only get 8 hours now. I'll see if I can get a replacement. Anyone use one of the extended batteries?

I got a 3500mah battery from Gorilla something. think it was about $28 including bigger cover. It is definitely heavier and thicker but you do get maybe twice the duration. Similar (?) ones on ebay from Hong Kong but have been hurt by them before. My cover's prongs got bent and wrote to Gorilla and they sent a new one promptly. Try getting that from Joe Hong Kong. The cover extends about 1/4 inch above the camera hump and it does add some heft but I've gone as long as 60 hours, albeit with light use before I gave up and plugged it in just to get to sleep. YMMV.

Remember the dx2 is a dual core phone its gonna process faster and use more battery life

Exactly, so why do many people (even on the forum) say dual core is more energy efficient? I've done some research on this and it seems to be a modern myth.

At any rate I went to Verizon and instead of a spare battery and charger they talked me into Moto's version of the iGo portable charger. I'll keep it at work to recharge when I away from my desk, I've found that at lunch when watching a movie with the audio over BT, that the battery plummets like a stone.

Got home and now I'm wondering if my original idea was better. Keep a charged battery at work, then before going home, swap and go? On Sundays mornings after work I go golfing with my mates and use a GPS sports tracking app to log our miles and new course lengths. Several times I've run out of battery. On the other hand I could keep the phone and remote charger plugged in a pocket of my bag.
