battery pull with phone on?

The Verizon guy just told me that you should do a battery pull with the phone on and operational, instead of turning it off first.

You can do that, it won't harm anything. I have extra batteries and I do it all the time.

Its just a common misconceptions. These phones arent that much like computers!!

I have a Droid X2. I was wondering since the Droid X and X2 have the same battery, would this extended battery work for the X2 as well???
