Battery issues!!!

My battery seems to be having a lower battery life than normal. I'm rooted running cm6 rc 2 running kernel 2.6.32.9JDLFG. Can somebody please help me. Thanks!!:blackdroid:

First, is you phone hot (temp)? Heat/Temperature is the biggest enemy of your battery.
Things to check:
Remove Task Killer
Lower CPU speed
Turnoff BT is not needed
Check GPS settings
Lower the brightness



What are the primary uses of your phone (web, mail, txt, calls)

I turned off my gps yesterday to see if it helped, but when i woke up this morning at 620am pst it's now 730 am pst my battery life has dropped 20 percent already

That seems unusual. I think you should go to VZW and ask for a replacement.

If you decide to take it in, make sure you unroot and push it back to stock.. You could always just try a new rom & kernel, see if that helps first.. No need to take it in just yet.

Yeah Ill try to change the rom to BB and see if that helps.

BB worked well for me, didn't drain any faster then normal.. You could also give Chevy's Simply Stunning 4.6 a shot, works like a charm on my phone. Or, you could just do a hardware check and flash the stock-rooted rom.. It's up to you.
