Battery Is Full

All,

I have been receiving the following error (not word for word) for about a week now. It basically says "Battery Full. Remove from charger."

Not to pick on Google, but I first started getting it inside of Google Maps after their 4.0 update. When 4.1 came out, I thought it might fix it. Unfortunately, now I get the error anywhere and randomly. The exception is it never happens while fully charged and plugged in.

Any other details that might be helpful?

Thanks!

PS. Did a search but didn't find anything. Hopefully, I did miss the answer somewhere.

Start by doing a simple reset of your device. If that doesn't work pull the battery for a full 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, do a factory data reset out of the privacy area in your settings.

Tried Hookbill's suggestions. No luck.

Visited a Verizon store a few days ago. I wasn't too impressed with the tech; but regardless, he couldn't find anything and offered an exchange since I was still within my first 30 days. Since I didn't have my wall charger, they wouldn't give me a new one. But the phone and battery were exchanged.

BTW, this didn't help. Still get the error; although, I don't hear it as much lately because my job has dictated keeping the phone packed in my backpack rather than on my body to protect it from damage.

Every few days, I've been temporarily removing apps to see if I can narrow it down to a specific app. No luck so far on that front.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

You should list all your apps on your device. I've never heard of this issue until now so I'm going to assume it is an app causing you the problem.

Cereal Killer,

Is there a convenient way to pull the list of apps off the phone? Removing the need to write out by hand...

I have those two programs as well and I will try removing them. Do you have any recommendations for replacements?

I wouldn't mess with Task Killers.

In regards to battery apps I do not have any experience on them.

I don't use them.

Somebody may chime in here that could possibly recommend some though.

I've tried several battery status apps and a couple of task managers and not seen that error, but most of those other apps I have not tried.
I find a task killer useful when I have to stretch out my battery time, but I don't go nuts with them...do you really think they are harmful, cereal killer? A lot of people seem to use them.

I use Battery Left for my battery status. While I don't have a Task Killer, I do have Advanced Task Manager. I don't really use it that much, but let the Droid take care of the apps running.
