Bad ESN?

I've had my TB for about 2 months now. It seems like ever since I rooted it, the service has gotten worse. I remember when I brought it home I had 4G and 3 bars. Now I have 1X and 2 or 3 bars. My friends came over tonight and had 4G with 3 bars... What can I do to fix this?

If the ESN was bad you would have service at all. Obviously your friends phone is different, I forget but if its the same phone it could be the radio software (MR1, MR2.5, etc) or maybe you're using a battery cover from a third party manufacturer?
