Is there a way to back up your Droid X to your P.C (not the Verizon Backup) just in case something happens to your Droid X or Factory reset to your Droid X and you have to reinstall your stuff saved on the phone?

Most of YOUR information is on the sd card, so you could back that up. 95% of the rest of your info is on googles servers.

So for example you broke your phone and got a new one, either put the old sd card in the new phone or copy everything from your backup on the computer from the old sd card to the new one. And then sign into google on the phone. Google will restore your contacts and emails. Texts will be lost. And all your previous downloads for apps are when you open the market hit menu then my downloads (Coming soon 2.2 will auto redownload them all for you)
