Awful Battery Life Now

My phone was very hot yesterday afternoon.

After I took it off the charger (factory one) this morning, it was still not. Checked the phone two hours later and it went from full charge to 30%

Not sure what the issue is. Did not load any new apps

An application is keeping it awake.

Agree with Mustang02, that Solid Awake green line is the culprit. Have you shut it off, cleared the cache and rebooted lately?

This is where I use Watch Dog Lite to find the culprit. You just open the app, check cpu usage and see what's staying on in the foreground (killing battery when phone sleeps) instead of dropping back to background when the phone is idle (not using any cpu to drain the battery though it's still in ram)
Open app, tap upper right

Look for any non white text as white is background or not running in the foreground

Tap the one in question to open dialogue box,

kill it. It could be just stuck, it could be gone rogue , could be a freebie app has installed something nefarious.
