I'm waiting and hoping.
There was another thread on this. We are SOL for now unless you know how to code an app. Logbook pro is working on a solution possibly mid-2010 which means 2011.

I have Logbook Pro and have used it on my PC for years. I swear it's one guy and his pet fish running the company. Never seen a company so far behind technology as these people. It's always "we're working on it." By the time they come out with an Android app most of us will have moved on.
There is a guy at my airline who is currently writing an iphone and android logbook program. However, I believe it will only be released to employees and unavailable to others due to company regulations.
**Shrug** Great.

Yeah I know. An update is that they are developing one for the iphone only and not droid... I know zero about coding but the company IT guys said the android platform is too difficult to work with... I don't know why they say that. I'm guessing because of the many versions of the software. 1.5, 2.01, 2.1 etc... and it's not exactly top priority because it doesn't generate revenue and a lot of man hours are going into the iphone app alone.
Very frustrating..... I'm holding out hope for Logbook Pro company to get on this but when my contract runs out I'm going to have to switch to a windows phone or the iphone. Using the stupid "little red book" is grating on me after years of using APDL and I hate the google calendar which goes hand in hand with using APDL. I thought after 5 months of a popular Android phone being on the market there would be at least a whisper of a good calendar program and pilot logbook program but I guess it's just not becoming as popular as I thought it would be.

All we can do is hold out I guess. Being March already (and the Droid came out in November) still surprised no decent logbook apps are out. Oh well, what's another month?
I have just released the first version (v0.1) of a Pilot LogBook app for testing. Original post is in the Androidforum with the following screenshots.
If you are interested to test, please PM me with your details including information on your handset, Android version, the countries you fly, whether you're a commercial/private pilot, and your company (if you wish to disclose).
Pilot LogBook (IntelliPilot v0.1)
Developed for pilots, this app can capture details on flights, aircraft, etc.
V0.1 features:
- Capture flight and aircraft details
- List flights and aircrafts
- Include 5000+ ICAO airport codes
- Autocomplete for airport codes and aircraft rego#
- Primitive export

- Autocomplete for rego does not return unique values
v0.2 features (planned):
- Improve export
- Add rego database for planes
- Add support for IATA codes
- Capture details for other crews
- Auto lock records to prevent accidental changes
- Include summary page of hours
- Handle both local and UTC times
Do you know of or have used APDL from Logbook Pro??
Do you know of or have used APDL from Logbook Pro??
Yes. A number of the pilots testing the Android app use or intend to use APDL. They capture the details upfront using the Android app and then feed into APDL.

How do they feed it into APDL if that app doesn't work on android os? Hoping this can replace APDL when finished.
