Automatically Scrolls to the Left

I'm having the same issue with my Eris scrolling to the left, so far it's just extremely annoying and has not interfered with the functionality of the phone. I have already upgraded to 2.1 and have been experiencing strange things ever since, this being one of them. Sucks to hear that its actually the phone, I'm going to the VZ store today to see what they have to say about it.

I am having the same problem. Coupled with that, the damn thing locks up now every time I go to text. Never fails. I'm about to throw this thing against the wall.

I had the same problems. Scrolling at home screen, trouble unlocking, texting locking up and scrolling all over etc. etc. I took out battery and MicroSD card, blew everywhere I could with compressed air (including in trackball area), and put it back together. I then cleaned the trackball and its area vigorously with an alcohol pad. So far so good. No issues since.

Hope your warrenty is still good cause that's the only way it will get fixed. It's a problem with the charging effecting the scroll ball causing it to scroll left. Happenend to two phones of mine. Screw track balls

Common problem everyone!

If i had USB plugged in and charging the phone had a mind of its own! It often would disable my stock alarm upon ringing!

Replacement phone here, broke one out.. (replacement phone rooted as well!)

cleaning will not fix it...its the chargers fault for being on the bottom of the phone. it messes with the trackball causing it to have a mind of its own and scrolling. Hope your phone is still under warranty because thats the only fix
