If any y'all been waiting for these to come back in stock somehow a website called tigerdirect.com has the 32 and 16 gig models. Not sure how they r the only ones with them... but I just ordered one. Just an fyi for the x'ers

If you haven't used tigerdirect before rest assured they are a good retailer. I've used them for years when buying computer hardware. The only thing u have to watch out for is they do a lot of mail in rebates. I've never had a problem honoring them but they are there. They are about equivalent to newegg if you're more familiar with them.

good ... i only found them because someone told me about nowinstock.com (edit: nowinstock.net).... ive been checking this site daily, but they sent me a text this morning saying tiger had them. nowinstock is great if you need something you cant find. but i havent paid tax in years... something im not used to being an amazon junkie.

do any of yall have the eee transformer or other asus stuff? never bought anything Taiwanese... but this looked like a good cheap 3.0 entry and had good reviews. onyl negative stuff i read was more about 3.0 than the transformer.

what i did was sign up for text alerts for every store at nowinstock.net, sorry i think i said .com. this morning i got a text for both models. sign up they appear randomly

Thanks for the link. Weird it wouldn't come up when I searched. I also signed up so we will see. I heard the inventory will get way better next month. I believe it was a screen shortage. My OC'd g tablet will have to do for a while longer.

Asus is one of the top manufacturers of PC motherboards, so I'd say they know a thing or two about the guts of a computer-like device.

i just looked my order up on tigerdirect and now it says back ordered.... i bet they messed up and never had them. which is ok with me, i just saw that now the toshiba tablets are listed on nowinstock.net ...... i thought they werent coming out for months. now the websites say june. they got built in usb ports, that you dont have to buy a keyboard extension to use. as long as they arent 700 bucks i guess ill get which ever one comes available first.

They really aren't slated to be available in USA until June. The cost will be 399 for 16 gb, 499 for 32 gb and 149 for the keyboard dock.

My brother and father have eeePCs . They are great and bullet proof. I've seen one fall four feet onto stone without a problem.

thee eee's went on sale april 26th... they just sold out that first day. i ordered one off walmart too, hopefully they werent bs-ing like tiger. ill let yall know. i just cant wait for the toshiba. new egg accidentally put the prices up for the toshiba at300 tablet last month. they had 449 for an 8gig, 500 for a 16gig, and 6 for the 32. i like the rubberized backing on the toshiba, but its not worth a 100 bucks im thinking. plus who knows when itll actually come out with all those problems in japan.

oh ya and for nowinstock.net the way it works is kinda confusing..... so just in case walmart is lying, what you do is click on the model you want and then two green lights will pop up and two non-green lights will pop up. the two in the middle i unclick, i think ones for email and something else.... but the one on the far left you click for a text message and the one on the far right you click if the status changes to "preorder". hope that helps. it hasnt failed me yet.
