Apple Says "Your cash is no good here!"

i was at the apple store last week and the REAL point to no cash for the ipad is because that it is not yet out in other countries so they are using the credit cards to make sure that it is going to an american address. so people arent taking it home with them.

What does it matter? I have a wife and 3 kids. If we all wanted iPads I could only get 2? Simply put it is ass backwards. What if I wanted to buy 10 of them and sell them on EBay to someone overseas for a profit? There is no law against profiteering. I did it with the Playstation 2, the Wii and the Playstation 3. Made a little extra scratch for my time and everyone was happy. The way I see it Apple is not only trying to control every aspect of what you can and can't have on their devices (even though YOU own it). They are now trying to dictate who can and cannot own it. Uncle Steve has some serious issues.

I had issues with my high end scanner and a high end printer. At first there were a lot of other issues that have been since resolved.

That should say Windows 7.

Still a little to early for Windows 7, wait until a couple of service packs come out. I am not pleased with its compatibility issues with other hardware. In a nut shell, I wouldn't but it on my primary computer.

Just my opinion.

Win7 is working great here....No issues with any of our equipment....

I bought an ipad for the wife a couple weeks ago. I went with cash and was refused the sale. I guess they did me a favor, though. I put it on my amex and got points for the purchase.

You would have been better off walking out of the store and refusing purchase.
It honestly wasn't that big of a deal to me. I was shocked that they didn't want my cash, but I just didn't really care. I see your point, though. And I still tried (unsuccessfully) to negotiate the price.
