Obviously this application is not intended for everyone. You should be developmentally inclined to use this, but everyone will be interested to see what is possible. JRummy the developer of Liberty Rom, Root Browser, Root Tools and many other awesome root apps has put together his first floating app using StandOut. With StandOut the options available to developers are endless. If developers decide to run with this we have the potential for floating browsers, floating messengers and this could really open up true multitasking on our phones and tablets. This is pretty exciting stuff!

I can see so much potential for this on tablets. not so much on a phone as the screen real estate is limited, but on my tablet, i would love to have a calculator out sometimes.

So it would be like in Windows? Cool. I want that on my Droid 4.

AirCalc already allows you to have a floating calculator open on top of other apps, just like windows. It us moveable, sizeable, you can minimize it, and you can open multiple calculators at the same time.

Super video does the same thing for videos. I personally love apps like this. I think it takes multitasking to a whole new level and can't wait for more of them to come out!

So between Samsung, that $16 launcher, AirCalc, and this it looks like quite a few devs have managed to make this coding functional. This will be quite useful on a 4+ inch device.
