App Locks: Network communication?

What's the best App Lock out there? A lot of them have 4+ Stars...

My main concern and question about it... is... What's with the Network Communication? I don't see a reason for it.

I just want a app that will prompt to access the Gallery and maybe my GMail and Messaging.

You can always email the dev...but if it has ads I'd bet on that
