Had the same problem but I fixed it...you have to plug your phone to your computer, go to sd card, android secure, and delete a file that's called "sml1"...something like that its called. This file is corrupt so u have to delete it. U can't see the file with on your phone with a file app like astro....u have to plug the phone to a computer

Do u know what corrupted the file so this won't happen again?

no it's just an android a issue and they haven't fixed it yet. I had the problem once and I haven't had it again but if it happens again just do the same thing

it's kind of a glitch so the only way to see it will be to plug in your phone

I can't install any apps on my Droid2

I have a similar problem. The apps will download but will not install. I tried your suggestion by connecting my phone to my computer. The problem is that I can't access the SD card when I do that. Even though the Motorola drivers are loaded I still can't access that USB drive. I will try taking the SD card out and putting it in a card reader and see if that allows me to find that file.

I will keep you posted.

The name of the file u r looking for is smdl2tmp1. I removed the file, but when I disconnected my phone it froze. Pulled battery and all was right with the world again.
