Sometime during the night my aol account stopped responding saying authentication error. It's just my junk email account, so it's not anything drastic, but I can't seem to fix it. Have tried to uninstall but I can't even do that.. Any suggestions? Thanks

I am pretty sure this is an AOL issue. I have the Bionic and was experiencing the same issue 2 weeks ago. The error eventually just stopped and is working fine now..

Thanks. I think I'll just walk over to the Verizon store today and see if they can fix it. But I appreciate your help.

The same thing is happening to me. I've spent countless hours on the phone with Verizon and Motorola. I've been going through this for weeks. It works intermittently. It's working at the moment and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They even offered me a different phone but I don't want it. I like this phone just wish this email thing would be fixed. I have AOL and I under
Stand they know about it. Sopposedly its a problem with the server. Also there have been many problems with Yahoo.

I had the same issue with an AOL e-mail account. I was unable to fix it but I did find a work around. Set up a new AOL account through the accounts app, but instead of choosing AOL as the provider choose "other". Make sure to uncheck the box automatically configure the account. You can then set up the AOL e-mail account manually.

I have yet to find a way to delete the old AOL acct....maybe ICS will make it possible.

Sorry I've been lax in answering. I haven't gone over to Verizon yet. Life got in the way. I figure I'll wait until ics to see if it's fixed. But it's so good to know I'm not the only one.

I just stopped in to Verizon and the tech said it was an aol server issue, also. She loaded k9 and I'm accessing aol that way. Thanks all for your comments and suggestions.

Unfortunately , when mine 1st started doing this, I switched back over to K9, which I used to use it a while ago, but anyways, the same problem started back up. I don't believe any app can fix this, as it's on AOL's side...
