AOKP vs Cyanogenmod

Hey guys.
Relatively new to this customization deal, but I'm in no way tech illiterate.

I have a droid 4, and I'm looking to flash a rom, either AOKP or Cyanogenmod. I have a few questions, but for starters, which do you guys recommend?

Sorry in advance if this a topic that has been beat to death, but in searching around I haven't found many conclusive arguments, and worse both mods update so frequently the features seem to change quickly and a lot of the information I found was months old and I'm not sure if its even valid anymore.

So, any thoughts?

They are both nice. AOKP is really just CM9 with some added customizations. Personally I preferred CM9 but both run well. I am running Gummy .09 right now and personally that is my favorite of the 3 ICS ROMs out for the D4.

Different gapps for different android versions. You want the cyanogen 9.0.x version.

LOL. Gummy is indeed it's own ROM. It is an ICS based ROM just like CM9 or AOKP. The first link is the the gummy ROM zip file and the second is to the gapps file you will need to flash after flashing any ICS ROM.

Just personal preference. You really can't go wrong with either of them. I like the look and feel of the gummy ROM over the others but they are all pretty similar. AOKP and Gummy offer some different customization options. I am sure they will differentiate more as time goes on.
