Anyway to categorize the contact list?

When I had my droid 1 it had the contacts under categories such as Alphabetical.. Ex.

A
=====

Apple

B
=====

Barney


etc.

for the droid 2 it's just one clumped up list and yes it's alphabetized but it's like staring at a wall of text and we all know how fun that is to read/look at one the forums.

So is there a contact list replacement or a way to change that?

It is categorized according to which account. At the top of the screen in contacts, you can switch between your google, facebook, twitter and other accounts.

can you select which one to open by default. Lets say i want just phone phone contacts to display instead of all when i press the contact button.

It opens on what ever contact list you left it on. If you leave the contact list on your phone contacts, and then click on the contacts app, itll open on your phone contacts. Least it does for me.
