Anyone tried the global power adapters?

Hi everyone,

I'm going to London and Paris later this year. I am feeling very smug about my Droid Pro purchase because it's a global phone, and Motorola put global power adapters in the box, so I should be able to charge my phone overseas.

However, I'm a little nervous because I've heard stories about people using adapters overseas and their devices getting fried. So here's the question: Have any of you ever taken your Pro overseas? And if you did, did you use the power/charger adapters that came with the phone? What was the result?

I appreciate any and all responses.

Thanks for your time.

Used adapters (Brookstone kit) in the UK with my Blackberry many times w/ no problem. Have not yet traveled abroad w/ the Pro, so cannot vet those adapters, but would not anticipate any problem.

Only time I ever (almost) fried a device was a hair dryer -plugged into correct adapter but forgot to flip the current switch on the dryer itself. Global phones know the difference...no switch to flip, so you should be fine w/ the Motorola adapters. Enjoy your trips!

I travel to the uk all the time and use a radio shack international brick. Works great

Also btw tmobile has a great deal in the uk. Snag a payg sim and calls are 5p and data is 5gbp for a month of unlimited. I was able to hit 3mb/s down last month in scotland.

It's not going to get fried. The only times something like that happens is if the power adapter isn't made to take the higher voltage that many other countries use. The plug for the Pro can handle the voltage pretty much anywhere. You've got nothing to worry about.

And I've used mine in China and South Korea without any issues.

Thank you for your responses. I appreciate y'all answering. I feel very comfortable about traveling with the phone now.
