Anyone in Connecticut wanna root for $$$?

You should NEVER have someone else root your phone for you, unless maybe it is someone you see a lot. It is something you need to learn about on your own and become comfortable enough to do it yourself. Search out all the threads on this forum, ask us some questions if need be.

This is by far the best post for rooting a 2.1 phone. I followed it with absolutly no problems. I just rooted mine yesterday.

/Guide to Rooting Android 2.1 on a Motorola Droid | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog

Thanks for the link. I've been pondering rooting my Droid but the only reason I really want to is so that I can delete unused apps forced on me, i.e. amazon mp3, facebook, etc... use the LED's Hack and back up purchased apps. I've had my phone since release day and have had no real issues to speak of and am afraid rooting might mess things up. At least now I have the means to root if / when I get around to it.
