Anyone figured out how to run roms on 2.3?

Can't figure it out also where can I get some good custom boot animations?

i am confused by your question. you are not on 2.3...you are on 2.2.1, and there are tons of Roms already running on it.

system version 2.3.340 is 2.2.1 so...read above.

android 2.3 will only come to us as a custom rom once motorola gives us 2.3, OR motorola unlocks the bootloader.
