Anyone ever unroot before returning to verizon

if you dont unroot they'll notice

or better yet: If you do unroot they can't notice. SBF will get rid of everything. If you manually unroot and are worried they might take the thing under a microscope then make sure apps like setcpu are uninstalled.
 
Yes, I would! I had to turn mine back in and I sbf'd it back to Froyo and then took it in. I did the same for a buddy of mine when he broke his screen.
 
SBF goes back to the stock factory image. Unroot leaves everything how it is and just removes ur root access
