Anyone else notice that HTC forgot to add accessibility apps?

Just thinking out loud about this, can HTC get sued?

The Droid Incredible contains a menu for accessibility options. Us Droid users would recognize this as the place to enable soundback, kickback, and talkback accessiiblity programs.

HTC left the menu there, but no programs. So I am just wondering, if someone disabled really wanted to push and shove, could/would HTC have a legitimate lawsuit on their hands for false advertising?

I honestly don't know, but wanted to see what other folks thought about it.

First thing on my todo list once the DI is rooted is remount the internal storage.
Second thing on my todo list is to get rid of that lame empty menu.

Please note:

Its not about whether or not if you care if these options are there or not. Just the legal ramifications.

no period, What possible remedy could someone seek? You can file a lawsuit but it will get thrown out before it even reaches trial courts.

False advertising of the worst kind:

Listing the option in the phone menus, yet not supplying it. Discrimination against the handicapped. I'm not a lawyer, but this kind of stuff has been in lawsuits before. For all those who think it couldn't happen, explain why you feel that way?

Come on folks, I was looking for a meaningful discussion, not single sentence answers with no thought put into them ;)

Not sure of your familiarity of the law, but none of the things you've mentioned are false advertising or even deceptive trade practices.

Really?

Listing an accessibility menu, with no way to use it isn't false advertising? Please explain.

Thats not unlike listing an icon for an internet browser, yet it not actually be there.

Surely the Verizon reps aren't telling people "Oh, ignore that menu, its just for looks".
