I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the VGA front cam is not going to be a deal breaker for anyone that tries this phone out. There may be other issues that make people balk, but the front cam is not going to be it.
Biggest reason why, is that this is likely going to be the first phone most here have had that HAS a front cam (good for you if you have one, I'm not talking about you), so if the front cam has bad snapshot quality, you know what you're going to do? You're going to do what you did with your last phone and turn the thing around and shoot a snapshot with the rear cam, that's what you're gonna do, just like you've always done.
And I agree with the sentiment, that I don't expect my phone to EVER beat out the image quality of my Canon EOS DSLR. It may beat out the quality of my Kodak Play Sport Zx3, but the Kodak is waterproof so I prefer using it instead of my phone, especially when out on the water.
