well, i tried to install a boot animation on to my droid and messed it all up. when i reboot it is blank, how can i just get my old boot back? can i just do a complete wipe in sprecovery?

If a sprecovery restore to a previous version doesn't work out then you might get away with just installing your current rom again. I know the sg5.0 one replaced the red eye with a blue one so your recovery should do the trick.
