Any else have battery problems after JB update?

I have a extended battery and never had a problem keeping a charge til now. It went completely down twice yesterday and only charged 80% after having it on the charger all night.

If anything, I'm getting better battery life after the update. I would suggest you do a cache wipe.

I'll try that cause it getting hot and down to 50% now and I have use it.

Sounds like issues that were common from the early days of rooting on the D1, pull the battery and boot into recovery and wipe, and then see if the charge returns to normal.

I had an issue when it first updated where my battery wouldn't charge until I'd turned the phone off and then charged it to 100%

After the update I have several issues that are driving me nuts.

Missing texts messages
Sleep Mode gone
Auto space with browser not working
Gallery pics all disorganized
Phone and People apps not organized. Many duplicates and "(no name)" entries
Speed dial settings gone
Emergency contacts gone
Contact icons missing

I am having similar issues on a non-rooted phone as well. What is involved in a cache wipe (just curious what to expect to need to reinstall/download on the phone afterwards)? Are the steps to do this like Hugh mentioned?

Battery actually seems better than before. However, this is my first full charge under JB. We'll see.

Just to name a few.

If by "Auto space in browser" you mean that the text does not fit to the page upon a double tap, go into browser/settings/advanced/then select AUTO FIT PAGES. That fixed my issue I was having. I am having none of the other issues you are complaining of though. Sorry man.

My battery drains much faster as well with the JB update. Even after a FDR.

Did the cache clear and battery pull and all my problems are gone... I had the "warm battery draining like crazy" thing going on the first day but now I'm getting better battery life than I ever had on this thing... And this battery is over a year old...
