Any Cat People Here?

I'm a cat person. Love their independance, cleanliness and aloofness. Not much of a dog person; barking in our hood keeps me awake alot.

Anyway, my daughter brought home a cute little kitten last night and after much begging with the wife (from both my daughter and I) she's agreed we can have it!! YAY!! :icon_ banana::):icon_ banana:

Pictures to follow this week when Felix moves in.

Yeah, I've got three of the buggers. And two birds (yeah, I know it's a weird combo).

I like animals more than people... :D

You've got nothing on me. I have 8 birds and 5 cats. And trust me a couple of my birds are big enough that the cats don't even want to mess with them.

I like cats but they puke all the time. Fur balls. I have a long haired one and he almost threw up in my shoes a few minutes ago.

LOL. What birds do you have, besides that handsome blue and gold?

I have two green cheek conures (that's one of them in my avatar :)). These guys are bite-sized, so they have their own room (they're running around on the floor right now). As much as I love my cats, I won't be adopting any more, and when these guys have had long and happy lives, the birds will have the run of the whole house...

In a sharp departure from the degree I went to college for, I went back to school last year to become a veterinary technician. My girlfriend and I joke about how we're going to end up with a bazillion birds.

Hairballs are nasty for sure. Our last cat (Thumbs) was bad about it. She would sometimes eat so much she couldn't hold it down. That was pretty nasty. She was a pretty freaky cat, scared of everyone but us. But we still miss her.

....3 cats here....only animal I know that when born will fight back instantly if threatened....gotta love their outlook....:rating10:

Yep...I've got 3 of em. Two are 7 years old, from the same litter; one is 1 1/2--the one in my avatar. His name is Roadrash, cuz he was rescued after being thrown out of car at 60 mph.

The cat's independence is the thing I most appreciate about them. That they seek out my attention all the time makes it all the better!

I'm allergic to cats- and I have six currently. Seth, Isis, Anubis, Alex, Probie & Moonie. I've built up resistance to some degree with all but Moonie. She just has to walk past me to make me feel like I'm having an asthma attack.
And now the wife's talking about getting a Bull Mastiff. :icon_eek:

I have 3 cats, 3 dogs, (had 4 dogs but 1 died a couple of months ago) 2 birds and 1 rabbit. All my animals live in our house and get along very well. The only sad thing is that my husband put his foot down about getting more animals no matter how much my daughter and I beg. :)
