Any application that can download Youtube videos?

Yup, I got that application but its not returning any search results anymore. I think it is not supported already. Can someone clarify this please?

I can confirm this for you. I've had tube downloader for a while, and I just tried to use it the other day, and it didn't return ANY search results, while searching youtube or google. I have not removed tube downloader yet, but I got a new app called FREEDI YouTube Downloader.

It works pretty good, and lets you download the video, or d/l as mp3.

Hope that helps you out.

i use this same app.. but it is not on market anymore went ahead and pulled apk for a backup.. still works :)

i second the FREEDI app recommendation. Simple, go to youtube, share video and select FREEDI...and give you option to download as video or just the mp3. awesome!!!:icon_ banana:

its called FREEdi Video Downalod Helper (download is misspelled - lol)

YouTube

You totaly forgot the main one here:

YouTube Downloader - Software to download YouTube video

Program size only 39Kb!!

It knows all native YouTube video formats: HD, MP4, FLV, 3GP videos, preview video, auto start download, skip already downloaded files, clipboard monitoring, drag & drop from IE / Firefox, proxy support, multiple simultaneous downloads, etc.
I use it a lot!

Is it able to convert the videos to mp3s?

You only want to listen to the videos?

mp3 = audio. So no, you can't convert the video portion into an mp3 file.

There are various tools, such as open source VLC, that will let you strip apart the audio and video portions of a clip and separate them out into various formats.

I know he is talking droid here, but if he wants the audio from those Youtube vids to listen to I would: (from home PC) grab FLV player, Orbit Downloader (or equivalent, look at the 'Grab' function while surfing videos) and a free program called FLV Extract. Very simple drag and drop your .flv vids to splinter off a new file for just the audio.

Odd time it won't work if something is squirmy about the encoding or recorded format on the .flv, but I've had a lot of success with it in the past.

Going to have to check FREEdi out, looks promising.
