With the original MR2 update for the HTC Thunderbolt having been cancelled (rumor), it only makes sense that a new version with a new radio should appear, right? That’s exactly what has happened thanks again to chingy51o over at XDA. No one is exactly sure what this radio fixes yet since it’s so new, but it’s available for you to flash if you understand all the risks involved.
Download: (MR2.5)PG05IMG.zip
Instructions:
1. Download the file from above and rename to PG05IMG.zip
2. Drop it on the root of your SD card (not in a folder).
3. Reboot into hboot, choose Bootloader and allow the file to flash.

*Tip – An app called QuickBoot can get you right into the bootloader if you don’t know how.

4. Report back to us if this looks like it has fixed anything.

This is why I'm having a hard time moving over to a GB ROM/kernel/radio combo. Things are so new and I like to find a daily driver and keep it. I think it's great that these radios are coming out to fix our problems, but I'm getting bogged down trying to read which radios I should flash. I love how the TB has such a large dev community already, but goodness sakes...

I flashed this new radio today and am having great results so far. Four strong bars of 4G at all times so far, and my GPS has never locked on so fast.

GingerTh3ory V3.5.2 and the kernel that came with it: 2.6.35.13-nerozehl-dream-2.0.3-beta_SENSE+

I am getting a few force closes, but I think that's the ROM and not the radio.

I flashed this radio earlier and it is working great so far, locks on fast and no reboots or FCs yet.

ive been using the new radio for about 24 hours now and have had no issues, running the perfect storm v1.5 rom and have had no random reboots or anything
