Angry Birds Transformers Platformer Game Gets Soft Launch in Select Markets

Fans of Angry Birds and/or Transformers might be intrigued by this new platform game from the folks at Rovio. It's called Angry Birds Transformers, and it's proof positive that Rovio has gone hog-wild with cross-licensing agreements.

The game is a bit odd-ball, but that's probably to be expected from a mashup of Transformers and Angry Birds. It soft launched in New Zealand and Finland, and will in Canada and Australia soon too. The game's global launch will be October 15th.

Alright...
I saw the screenshot of the video earlier and thought, "Really? Another 'pull the slingshot back and shoot at blocks game' from Rovio?"

Then, I watched the video. This intrigues me. Kinda like a platformer/shoot/endless runner-esque thing going on. And it's Transformers!

Maybe it's just the epic music, but I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
