Google moving into multiple markets beyond just their online advertising model is proving to be the wise business decision you would expect it to be. Predictions by Analyst Gene Munster's (of Piper Jaffray) for 2012 suggest that Google will hit $1 Billion dollars in Android-related ad revenue. Looking at the 'total' perspective, this actually turns out to be a "drop-in-the-bucket", as Google's overall revenue will probably be around $31 Billion dollars. Android would amount to about 4 percent of the total.

Still, when you peer at the microcosm within the macrocosm, you find tremendous growth. Android generated $5.90 revenue for each of the 22 Million Android users during 2010. Munster projects that by 2012 that ad revenue will rise to $9.85 per user, and that total users will climb to 133 Million, bringing Google a cool $1.3 Billion. If you are someone who dabbles in the stock market or even an avid investor, Mr. Munster maintains his Overweight rating for Google's shares and targets them at $725 per share. As of this morning GOOG was up 59 cents, or 0.1%, to $614.88 per share.
