Being as anxious as I am, seeing this makes me wonder when in hell is 2.2 getting ported to the droid. It is fun to see though.

I understand the desire to have it on the Droid, but not the attitude of people thinking they are owed it, or something. Its on the iPhone because someone took the initiative.

Download a Froyo dump and port it if the idea that the iPhone having it is a travesty.

IMO, a port is going to suck as anything much more than a proof of concept. Remember when 2.1 was ported to the Droid? It was horrible.

I'm sure someone has already stated this, but I'll say it anyways. It has been confirmed multiple times by adobe, google, and motorola that the Droid will get flash. To get flash, you MUST be on 2.2. Therefore, the Droid will get 2.2. That's simply the facts.

Exactly. I am wondering if adobe will only allow it on 2.2 so then when Flash is not delivered they can say "we can't control 2.2 coming out" and the flip side Moto and Vrzn can say, "well adobe will not allow it to run on 2.1"

Jeez.

Any way to trick the os and say it is 2.2 to force a flash download?

Until someone can offer some proof that the Droid will NOT get 2.2, I fail to see why others would listen. Since there is proof that it will get 2.2, I think I'll stick waiting for 2.2. The Moto Droid is the most popular Android phone out there on the most popular network. It will get 2.2. I'll bet a $50 donation to this forum on it.

I tried to view a video on my Droid (2.1) yesterday and it said you need flash to do so, so I clicked on the Adobe link and it said Flash 10.whatever is only available on Android 2.2.
I searched around about getting the 2.2 update and it said in many places it would be out in June (hopefully June this year!).

LOL. It was being tested before 2.1 was even released. All I can assume is that either the source isn't final, or Moto isn't done
