How would I go about downloading 2.2 on my phone if I have the SDK on my computer and everything?
:icon_ nono2:

2.2 is not out for our phones. It's not publicly out for any phones. The only ones who have it so far are people who visited Google IO and were given 2.2 loaded Nexus 1s.

You'll have to wait.

Not sure, but they mentioned that they bought a company that had this technology. I'm interested in how they implemented this as well.

In the keynote, they showed music streaming from iTunes...There will have to be some sort of in-between layer, I'm just not sure what it is..

with all this new cloud to phone stuff I wonder if you register against some service and that service establishes the connection between the home computer and your phone?

The SDK is just that... a Software Development Kit. It is NOT 2.2 just the tools needed to develop software for it.

Mostly right...the SDK can create a 2.2 emulator, of which the system.img and other necessary images can be flashed to a phone (some devs have successfully done this over at XDA, although it is somewhat slow as the img's are emulator optimized)

and what exactly do you think is changed to "enable flash"
the build.prop is the only way for that site to verify your on 2.2

my current rom already has JIT on it, and its a huge difference.
this is simply more optimized form of JIT.
if anyone can crack open a disc image for me, i can get everything from the build(well most of it)

but even easier would be someone ripping 2.2 off their phone

I think their site might already have something like that, so I'd assume most of the infrastructure is already in place for that. Just a matter of extending out the interface
