If you like to monkey around with and customize the 'aesthetic' features of your Android like the UI and wallpapers, (and who doesn't really), then you've got to give this active wallpaper a look. This thing is pretty 'trippy' to say the least, and I have little doubt that you'll 'wow' your friends and relatives showing this one off. Here are it's feature highlights, but you have to try it to believe it.
  • The most stunning effect within a package which size < 64K
  • Well implemented with OpenGL and highly optimized
  • Five default effects are bundled
  • Fully customized setting options
  • Totally Free

Grabbed it and running it now. Will be interesting to see if it lives up to the claims that is doesn't hugely effect battery life.

Running now, and having no noticeable slow down at all. As long as battery life isn't severely impacted, I'll be keeping this one for a while.

Yeah I'm hoping this one is a keeper, and that battery life isn't strained too much. Kind of happy I picked up the desktop charger, it looks great with this wallpaper.

Pretty to look at :) Wish it would also react to when you touch it, but, can't have everything. Is nice enough as is :)

It was nice for a few seconds but it slowed my Droid 1 to a halt. The UI stopped responding and my overheat profile in SetCPU tripped at 50C (122F). Luckily I pulled the battery, let it cool, and rebooted. I immediately changed my wallpaper back to a regular picture.
This LWP might work better on the D2 or DX.

Btw, Im running BB0.6 / SetCPU interactive @800MHz.

Been running it now for a while and love it. And my battery life seems fine. It'll tkae a few days to see for sure, but its definitely staying on my phone for a while.

My battery monitor says its been using 4% of battery useage, same as wifi.
