Alt Key doesn't always work

I'm sure this has been spoken about...I can't be the only one. I tried search but came up empty.

My Alt key works erratically at best. When entering zip codes and such into websites, the third number will almost always come up as the letter...

sometimes it's the second number in a row....

What gives?

Nope, never heard of this issue. If you hit alt once, you will only get a number once. If you hit alt twice, it will then be numbers until you hit alt for a third time.
