Album track order

I use MixZing and if I select an album to play (under the album tab), it will play in track order unless I try to skip to the next song then it jumps to random...

In the stock music player, you can play an album by track order and also skip to the next track - it keeps them in order...

Is there's a trick to it? Because I open an album and the list of songs is all mixed up with track 1 somewhere near the end, track 6 at the front, etc.

Edit: It looks like maybe it plays them in order, it just doesn't list them in order. So if you want to play a whole album through you have to remember what song is track one for that album.

How did you rip the music or transfer it to your X? That is the only thing I can guess as to why the album order would be messed up...

Most of my albums were bought thru iTunes (a couple were ripped from CD's) but all of my music was transferred to my X via MediaGo...

I transferred it with Windows Media Player's sync option. I don't like iTunes and am glad to be rid of it now that my iPhone is no longer mainly in use.

I see your edit about yours not being listed in order...mine are listed in order...this screenshot is from MixZing...the album is 7 by Enrique...the album was bought thru iTunes but moved to my X my MediaGo...

Looks like i was wrong, I just started this Natalie Merchant album with 'beloved Wife' and it went from there to 'Jealousy'. Here's the track list as it appears in WMP:

Sorry I can't make screenshots of my phone it doesn't work for me.

So WMP shows the tracks in order...I don't use that program so I kind thought maybe that is where the issue was...maybe someone else will chime in as I don't seem to be helping you :)...good luck!

This was the first thing I noticed about the stock music player. It does not list or play the songs in album order, no matter how I name the files. That's why I started looking for an alternate music player, and I settled on Cubed. It lists and plays in the correct order.

Here's something funny, Astro File Manager lists the songs in the correct order. So maybe I just need a different music player app.

I'll check that one out, I'm looking at Music Player Pro now, that looks nice.

Long push on the album in the stock player and then push play, and it will play them in order. Then, if you go to list, it will then list them in album order too.

Hey CrashF16, Thanks! I was trying to solve this problem, too! Now the trick is to find out how to set that up as a default on the stock music player, if possible.
