After update to 2.3.3 hotmail no longer works and Verizon no answer

After I updated to GBB my hotmail acct no longer worked with my Droid X. It worked great before the update. Verizon sent me new phone when they couldn't fix it but it still doesn't work with the new phone. They had no answers on how to fix this.

It strangely says one old email from 6 years ago is from 2017 and that is the only email that gets pushed through. It also periodically gives me msg that the port is wrong, the password/user id is wrong (they are not), and that the incoming receiver is wrong. However, I can send messages.

Did anyone else have this problem, any advice?

Are you using Corporate to check your hotmail, in account and sync?

I don't think so. I added it through my accounts "email" Should I be?

Yes, remember that Hotmail is a M$ product and adding your Hotmail account through Corporate account will fix the issue. When you do set it up, the username is your hotmail email address and the server is http://m.hotmail.com

Sign into your Gmail account on a computer and under settings forward your Hotmail to your Gmail. This is what I did and it is flawless. Also you can set it up so when you send an email from your Gmail it will look like it was from your Hotmail address.
