after kitkat update bluetooth music skips but only from SD card

Music skips when playing songs on the SD card, but works ok for songs in the phone storage when using bluetooth.

I thought something was wrong with the SD card but it plays fine through the phones speaker.
With bluetooth it skips.

I tried some songs that are in the phone storage, not the SD card, and they also play with no problem in bluetooth.

This wasn't a problem until I recently updated to KitKat , a few days ago.

Sounds like one of many reported artifacts of KitKat. Welcome to the club: problems with wifi, bluetooth, signal strength, and battery drain are all being reported.

Suggested alternatives: pull the battery, wipe the cache partition, and (the dreaded) factory reset. For some it works, for others not so much.

I'm doing the reset Monday and we will see.

Did they ever think of testing KitKat before forcing the update
