After JB update I Can't control the Volume control....

I have a problem after updating to JB.

Alarm volume, although separate, is locked to the ringer. So now If my phone is on Vibrate and/or silent the Alarm volume is automatically on silent along with Alerts and System.

Extremely annoying because I need my alarm in the morning without random texts/calls coming in at the wrong time.

Any ideas or solutions for this?

Audio Manager doesn't help, and I assumed it was the cause for the problem but after uninstalling it the problem persists..... please help ​

Try wiping your partition cache in recovery.

What exactly will that erase? I don't want to risk losing data/media files

You won't lose any data it just resets the partition. Do some research on the subject. I hope this helps.
