Adds on the home screen

My buddy just called me and said after he updated to ICS yesterday he is now getting adds on his home screen. I told him that my Razr doesn't have any adds on the screen and that is must be a app that is doing it. Does anyone else have this problem?

I haven't got any ads on ICS, but I did on GB but it was because of an app I had installed. Tell him to go to the Store and download Ad Network Detector and Addons Detector. These should identify the app that is pushing the ads.

Thanks I forwarded him both the apps so he can figure out which app on his phone is the culprit.
